Introduction
Lo Keng Chi obtained his Master Degree in Arts from The University of Hong Kong, majoring in Comparative Literature. He is currently an editor of Fleurs des Lettres, a literary magazine. He loves reading and writing, as well as cinema and visual arts. Since 2001, he has devoted himself to literary writing and his works can be found in local literary magazines and journals, including Fleurs des Lettres, Platform, Ming Pao and the Hong Kong Economic Journal. He has also led reading groups and participated in publishing activities at school. Lo has received several literary awards, among which he was a winner of the 2nd Young Writers' Debut Competition in 2009, and subsequently published his poetry book titled “Latency”.
In recent years, Lo has expanded his interest to visual arts. He believes that creating art pieces shares the same tour de force as literary writing. He hopes that by drawing concerns to people with disabilities through different media channels he can encourage more disabled people to participate in artistic and literary activities and to voice their need for community resources. In 2010, Lo Keng Chi’s installation artwork titled “Enlightenment” won a gold award in the open division competition of “Cross All Borders: Hong Kong Festival Showcasing New Visual Artists with Disabilities 2010”. Moving forward, he hopes to further promote the idea of an inclusive society and the development of arts with disabled people through his efforts in arts and literary writing.
